We are very pleased to announce that the very First event Paper Parachutes will be in is the Cannes Short Film Corner! May 10-21 at the Cannes Film Festival (you might have heard of it… a small little event tucked into the Mediterranean).

While the film is too long to be in the main competition (over 15 minutes), Paper Parachutes …will gain exposure at the Short Film Corner to other festival decision makers, mover & shakers and is the best way in the world to get our film out to the masses. Oh – and the Corner has a few prizes of its own to give away – fingers crossed!

Congratulations and a million thank you’s to everyone who has been on this journey with us. To those who believed in us, supported us, friends, family, contributors, cast, crew, the post production team. What a journey it has been – with hopefully much more to come!

Dear Friends, Supporters, Cast & Crew,

Many apologies for the radio silence at the end of 2010. We have been steadily working away on the post production, which is a long process normally. And one that requires a bit of extra patience when all of the time, energy and resources are being donated. However, it is all coming together !!!

We have now locked the edit and are continuing work on the animated opening sequence, compositing shots (to add a few parachutes in the sky!) and composing of music/sound design.

The goal is to meet a number of festival entry deadlines in early Feb, March and April. And with confirmation of acceptance, will be holding a private screening for cast, crew and close friends.

Thanks so much for sticking with us. We know that everyone is eager to see the finished product. However when the entire post production is being done on good will and borrowed time, we can only be patient when their paying clients come a knocking!

Much love to all and as it all starts to come together in the next few weeks, we will be sharing more sneak peaks!

Well, we’re nearly there!

We are six days away from shooting our first Piggy Bank Film, Paper Parachutes.
It has been quite the long road but we are nearly there thanks to you and your support.

This week is full of rehearsals, camera tests on location, collecting all of our final supplies.
And making a LOT of paper airplanes, printing books – the list is long, but they are getting ticked off the list!
